Snoop Dogg live in Bellingham

My friends and owners of the Wild Buffalo brought Snoop Dogg to Bellingham, Washington and I had to go to the show. Luckily I had one vacation day left and made the trip up north to listen to Gin and Juice and all the classics live. It was worth the trip to see some old friends, listen to some classics and capture some photos that you can see below. Flavr Blue Live at Chop Suey

I have not been to a live show or taken photos at one since last spring, but that all changed last night. I ventured to Chop Suey to watch Flavr Blue along with DJ 100 Proof and it was well worth the trip. DJ 100 Proof warming up the crowd above. “It’s like he is playing my Soundcloud playlist,” said Austin Santiago of D0206 about 100 Proof music selection. Geo of Blue Scholars was also in attendance as a special guest host of the show. Casey of Sensebellum made these photos possible with his expert lighting skills and you can checkout some of those photos of Flavr Blue below. About the Flavr Blue: After a summer of major milestones, the Seattle-based trio the Flavr Blue is about to deliver their most anticipated release yet: The Love Notes EP, a collection that marries the group’s crackling energy with a soulful musical wisdom inherited from influences ranging from Cut Copy and Miike Snow to Feist and Sade. Within just this year, the band put on a show-stealing main stage performance at Seattle’s Capitol Hill Block Party that landed them on the front page of the Seattle Times, has seen their single “We […]

Summer Meltdown Festival 2014 Photos

I have attended the Summer Meltdown Festival for the past three years and for the past two years I built and maintained their website SummerMeltdownFest.com. I also have captured photos at the festival and have been providing them with photos for marketing purposes. Here are some photos I captured while at Summer Meltdown 2014 featuring StrFkr, Black Joe Lewis, Whitehorse Mountain, of friends and the campground.

New York City: The Subway

I have driven so little since I turned 16-years old that I have owned the same truck for 15 years and it is just about to hit 140,000 miles. I hate driving, so I was very intrigued to try the subway system in New York City. When you aren’t in a rush to get anywhere the subway is great and I would much rather watch people in a subway then be stuck in a car in traffic on a freeway. The New York City subway was pretty much what I thought it would be. People would sometimes run to the subway cars and rush into them like their life was on the line. A large majority of the time people just didn’t look that happy though. I am sure if I rode the subway everyday for years I would have fallen into the New York City routine. The only time I had to wait a significant amount of time is when one of the subway lines had a stalled train and the crowds built up quite a bit. Outside of that the New York City subway was a very efficient mode of transportation. The New York City subway is one […]

El Ten Eleven live in Bellingham

I am a huge El Ten Eleven fan and I was able to see them live again for the second time at the Wild Buffalo in Bellingham. They put on a great show once again and had different visuals, so it was nice to mix it up a bit. You can see all my photos of El Ten Eleven here: Click Here For Full Gallery.

Voyager live in Bellingham

On Friday night Voyager, a 80s cover/tribute band from Bellingham, had me take photos of them at the Wild Buffalo. Find out more about Voyager and find upcoming show on their Facebook page here: facebook.com/voyagerlive/ And here’s a little bit more about the band… “This group of intergalactic youngsters pull out all the stops to put on the most Hi-Voltage, Fun Lovin’ show they possibly can. They specialize in 80s heavy metal/hard rock/glam rock with plenty of surprises in between. Come see the Heavy Metal Metal Masters of the Universe in all their denimed and leathered glory as they continue to rise in the ranks of the local/regional scene and play places that no 80s cover/tribute band has played before. For their money there is no better theme music for a big party than Hard Rock and 80s Heavy Metal and they are fully committed to bringing it back.”

Just launched the new Summer Meltdown Festival website

I just launched the new Summer Meltdown Festival website (SummerMeltdownFest.com) this morning. The website design comes from Andy and Lindsay at Blank Design Studio, but I I did the back-end coding and a vast majority of the photos I captured the past two years. Summer Meltdown is the largest locally-produced independent camping and music festival in the Pacific Northwest. Nestled at the foot of majestic Whitehorse Mountain in the heart of the Cascade Mountains in Darrington, Washington, the festival is held each August and features over 30 bands on three stages over three days, the Green Village showcasing environmental and social outreach, food, craft and retail vendors, a Kids’ Area, Kids’ Parade, the Little Seahorse Music Academy and more. Make sure to checkout the new website: SummerMeltdownFest.com and below are the promo photos I captured of the festival.
