Odesza’s Harrison Mills (aka Catacombkid) and Clayton Knight (aka BeachesBeaches) live at the Wild Buffalo in Bellingham. I listen to Odesza’s music while I edit photos and video all the time, so I always enjoy taking photos of their live set. You can read my interview I did with the DJ duo over at The Bellingham Herald’s website by clicking HERE also.
The Bellingham Herald sent me to the Spark Museum in Bellingham last week to capture the Electric Show and the MegaZapper, which is a large Tesla Coil. It was a pretty fun assignment and was a great change from capturing shopping on Grey Thrusday and Black Friday. View all the photos from the Spark Museum on The Bellingham Herald by CLICKING HERE.
The Bellingham Herald puts out Whatcom Magazine four times a year and I had a fair amount of photos in the newest issue. I was pretty excited to get one of my surfing photos from Westport published along with all the other photos from photo assignments over the past 6 months. Below are all of my photos in the magazine and you can read all the stories at: Bellinghamherald.com/whatcommagazine
The Bellingham Herald sent me up to Mt. Baker Ski Area for opening day on Nov. 21, 2013. It was easily my favorite photo assignment to date. It days like this that put a huge smile on my face. Here’s the photos and video from the day.
Halloween 2013 seems like the longest holiday extravaganza of my life. I’m not complaining at all though. The day before Halloween I captured photos at Toni & Guy in Bellingham for The Bellingham Herald. I took photos of J.E.M. Special Events & Beauty and Toni & Guy make up and hair artists turn people into zombies for the haunted house put on by Make.Shift at Boundary Bay. After the zombies were ready I walked down to Boundary Bay to shoot a short video of the haunted house you can see below. On Halloween I setup a backdrop at the YMCA for the to take photos of kids trick-or-treating downtown for The Bellingham Herald. It was a real busy two hours of photography, but the kids were great. I ended up with over 80 photos of local trick-or-treates and you can see all the photos HERE and HERE and a few of my favorites below. After I finished those photo galleries I took my Nikon D3s and a 50mm 1.4mm and hit the town to get the adult side of Halloween. All in all it was an eventful week to say the least.
