Merry Christmas from my family

My little brother is back from New York and my full family is actually together for the first time in a long time on Christmas. Instead of just taking a basic photo I decided to make a few portraits of my family this year and combine them into one photo. I also took a bunch of portraits for my brother while he was here. He is working on his improv/sketch comedy in New York, so while my dad was sleeping on the couch and my mom and sister were talking we made the short video below… And then we made another video using one of his ideas: Anyways…Merry Christmas from the McDonald family!

First attempt at portraits with Dustin

I have never really been a portrait photographer and over the past two months I have been reading every book I can on the subject and studying the art. I also purchased new SB 910 flashes, and other studio gear, so I can start creating portraits and perfect the art. I met with Dustin last night and gave my first serious attempt of capturing portraits that you can see here. I even tried some light writing techniques to get some more unique photos.
