Polish Skimboarding Open Preview Video

Witnessing the Polish Skimboarding Open in person this year was rad. We are working on a special issue about the Polish Skimboarding Open with well over 100 photos and a longer video edit. A night in Amsterdam

The first part of the DB Skimboards European Adventure was in the Netherlands. We were picked up at the airport and then skimmed for a few hours. Later that night we went to Amsterdam. I walked the streets of Amsterdam trailing behind the skim team to try and get as many photos of Amsterdam as possible. I had just my Nikon D300s and a 50mm lens on me. I would love to go back with more time to focus on photos with a full bag of lenses and time to set my camera up on a tripod. That being said the Netherlands is a great place I would like to visit again.

DB Skimboards European Skimboarding Tour

What an amazing two weeks I just experienced. DB Skimboards paid for six of us to travel to Europe and meetup with three European skimboarders and then travel and skimboard through the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Poland. We had a lot of great times some bad times when someone broke into our van and stole our passports and a few cameras. Luckily I kept my gear on me at all times. It was a true adventure. I am truly blessed to have traveled with such a great group of guys and to have experienced everything I did over the past two weeks. I have over 200 GB of photos and videos and look forward to editing all of it to show everyone the DB Skimboards European Adventure. Here are a few photos from the trip that I have posted on various skimboarding sites. I will have three mini magazines and probably about 5 videos from the trip overall. I have to thank DB Skimboards for such an amazing opportunity. All the photos and video are going to be released in the coming months in Flatland Magazine and SkimMagazine.com.

Guide to Summer Cover photo and Harry the dancing dog

I captured the cover of the Guide to Summer with a photo from Boulevard Park in early June. I also had an eagle photo and a photo of Harry the dog run inside the annual magazine. Last night while shooting Downtown Sounds in Bellingham I saw Harry again enjoying the show and had to shoot a quick video of him.

Relive the 4th of July in Whatcom County

It’s July 5th and my hand hurts from shooting so much video and photos for work and personal stuff yesterday. I started out at the Blaine’s Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration to capture the parade and car show. You can see video of both below. Pretty much quick raw edits to give you an idea of what happened. After that I drove back to Bellingham attended a BBQ, ate a meal of food and then went up to Sehome hill to capture the fireworks. Brandy the Bellingham beach dog

Brandy the dog has been at the beach I go to Bellingham for years now to the extent I know the owners and have searched the beach for her when her owners couldn’t find her. Whenever someone heads to the beach she tags along. She is getting up there in years now, but she still loves to dig holes more than any dog I have ever seen. Here’s a few snaps of Brandy the skim dog. Brandy also made an appearance in a DB Skimboards video showing off her digging skills:
