The Staxx Brothers made the trip to Bellingham for a show at the Wild Buffalo. To I took some live shots to accompany the groups photos and video photos from last week.

Surf Camera

I bought a GO Pro HD Video camera and have been working on mounts for a bodyboard, surfboard, skimboard and a longboard.

I just finished the bodyboard setup. Hopefully, I can get some good shots in the coming weeks. I am going to attach fins (skegs) to the bottom of this board for some extra mobility.

Here are some photos I took of the setup.

Early Spring Skim Session

Riley Davis a local skimboarder made the trip up to Bellingham for a skim session. It’s rare we can actually skim without a wetsuit in February, so we had to take advantage of it. Here’s some photos from the session.

Mustache Party

It was my friend, Kevin “The Wizard” Kreestoe’s birthday, and the theme was a “Mustache
Party”. I used the Fisheye lens to get some pretty good group shoots.

Light Table

A few days ago I was just messing around with an old light table that was used to view film back in the day at the newspaper. Nothing exciting, but I figure after time I will find some pretty good uses for this.

Another day at work

I have been sitting on a bunch of different sequences of photos and time lapses. I had no idea what I was going to do with them. I needed to clear some space on my computer, so I put this little video together.

The Bellingham Herald building, construction, trees, skimboarding and Pipeline don’t really make any sense together. So, I tried to bring all the photos together with basic thoughts that cross my mind throughout a day of work at The Bellingham Herald (that is the Herald sign on the shadow of the building in the first and last time lapse. That’s where this random idea came from). I posted the same video on Facebook without the words to see what people think of both versions.

I love skimboarding

I have been skinboarding for 12 years now and what can I say other than I love skimboarding.

Whether I am riding rails on a nice mudflat in Washington state or riding waves in Vilano Beach there is nothing I would rather be doing. Luckily my friend Matt Sursely was in Vilano Beach to shoot some photos of me skimming. Here they are.
